The Forum, in support of and in partnership with the IFC Vietnam Corporate Governance Project, and as part of its global Media Program, convened a workshop on March 31-April 2 to train journalists on key issues within corporate governance and "best practices" in reporting techniques on the subject. This was also the first media workshop convened by the Forum in partnership with Agence France Presse, with whom the Forum has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on such workshops worldwide, building on the Forum's ongoing program with Thomson Reuters Foundation. At the workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, some twenty journalists engaged in discussion on topics covering, among others, the perspective of foreign institutional investors regarding corporate governance, the views and relevant activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange and coaching on techniques of investigative journalism. The Forum is planning to work further with VCGP in the coming months on Board Leadership and IoD development."
